PowerTeacher Pro (PT Pro or PTP) empowers teachers with the assessment, grading, and learning tools necessary for instructional improvement and student success. PT Pro is replacing PowerTeacher Gradebook by June 2021, and allows teachers to navigate content more easily due to a new and improved interface and additional, more robust functionality.
In preparation for a larger implementation, an e-learning course has been developed as a support and training tool for teachers. Click on the below link to enter the course if interested in exploring any of the lessons.
The course is comprised of roughly 55 lessons, and if followed sequentially, the lessons will lead teachers from the initial steps of gradebook setup, creating categories, and grades calculations to then using PT Pro as they work with assessments, marks and grades, analyzing student and class progress, and completing report cards. The course is not only intended to help teachers learn the technical aspects of PT Pro, but also to support teacher practice as it relates to assessment.
The course is designed to be an interactive experience - so lessons include a variety of text-based content, images, interactive activities (flashcards, simulations where teachers follow instructions to complete an activity on their own), and video demonstrations. The course remains a work in progress and teacher feedback will help to further improve the course and to add those features and activities that teachers find most beneficial to support their learning.
